Chocolate Pretzel Chip Cookies with Optional Caramel Glaze

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Place butter in bowl and beat on high until its light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add white sugar and brown sugar beating very well after each addition.
  4. Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each egg.
  5. Add vanilla beat well.
  6. In a separate bowl mix together the flour, soda, and salt.
  7. Combine the dry ingredients into the butter mixture.
  8. Place the pretzels into a plastic bag and roll with a rolling pin to crush them into about 1/4″ bits.  Add the pretzels to the cookie dough. 
  9. Using the same bag add the potato chips, roll with the rolling pin crushing them into about 1/4″ bits.  Add the potato chips to the cookie dough. Mix until just blended.
  10. Using a cookie scoop place onto parchment lined cookie sheets.
  11. Bake at 350 F for 10 15 minutes.
