We Are Pinnable in Summer

It is summertime for us ( sorry Sam and anyone else down-under) it is glorious weather so welcome to We are Pinnable in Summer.

We are trying to make We are Pinnable more inclusive and more of a community we hope you like it that way. Also, we are always delighted to see a few more of you have joined us at We are Pinnable. As you can see we plan on making it a place where friendships can be formed and bloggers can link up and support each other.

A Story from Leanna

Amber and I are so passionate about the I am Pinnable Party and the new We are Pinnable Facebook group  because the I am Pinnable party is how Amber and I met.

Blogland can be lonely for new bloggers.

As a new blogger I stumbled across the Sweet Inspiration Party. I looked up the definition of link party in Google and went from there.

Getting brave I reached out to hosts who wrote me back.  These same mentors link in this party and hugs to each of you.

My goal for 2017 was to cohost a link party. I applied and cohosted the I am Pinnable party, then Amber invited me to partner with her permanently.

Amber and I are Blog Partners, hard to explain how we click, we have the same decision making process, we lead with our hearts and we problem solve the same way. You may remember when we had three consecutive weeks where inLinkz and caching was giving us grief. It was stressful but we were in it together and we solved it together.

One day I heard about evergreen content (thank you mentors).   I spent a couple hours with Amber really discussing the value of the I am Pinnable party. Is it page views? No, I have evergreen posts that get more views. Is it an easy post? No, I try to do a new project for every Wed and Amber always gets a new post done. Then we do the reading, commenting, sharing and the hardest part choosing. So why do we do it?

Because without other bloggers it’s a lonely island.

Amber and I are so much better off because we met and work together. We know that with time spent together, jointly achieved goals and combined efforts were all better off.

We want you to meet one another, make connections and grow.  Its why we invite other link parties and different niches and started the group for sharing.

Thanks for joining in every week, we really do love that you come.  Off my soap box now on to the party.

    1. Thanks Megin. Its really important to do this. The only way to toughen it through blogging as a career is to be supportive and get support from the others who know what its like. Thanks for letting me know.

  1. Leanna what you wrote is so true. I spent the first four months of my blogging journey living on an island. And it was link parties that helped me to make new friends. People who will understand us because the regular folks certainly do not get our brand of crazy and our passion. And being a hostess has it’s own special perks because there are so many others who honor you by coming to your blog. Love that Tardis quilt!!

    1. Love the our brand of crazy comment lol. Is that defined by thinking a basement in Greece is a Must See if I ever toured over there? lol I am pretty certain I could sell tickets online to the event lol.

Hugs and you know how much we appreciate everyone to consistently comes and shares with us.

  2. Thanks for hosting. Thanks for the great story.

I think I spent the first year alone and how a party or two and the thing is that five plus later, I enjoy seeing new things that people are doing every week and have learned so much about other things.

    Have a great week.

    1. Your so right Patrick. Although I am a DIY blogger it doesn’t mean I won’t ever travel to San Francisco. Or take my paint grubs off and wear a new semi fashionable outfit. Reminisce about when my kids were little with a Mom blogger, or god forbid cook something. lol

  3. Hi Leanna. I appreciate the hard word you two put into this. And I certainly appreciate the new friends I’ve made. Some days I feel like I am that chicken with its head chopped off…
    🙂 gwingal

  4. I have always said to myself the blogging business is built on relationships. Whether it is the comments we leave for each other, Facebook groups or personal friendships we are successful because of each other. You said it very well Leanna and I am so glad we are friends.

    1. Hi Debra. Those bloggers who have known me for awhile know a little bit of my story, know how excited I was when Amber offered to let me cohost. I just felt the need to explain reasons why we do this. Its really fantastic to have those reasons validated by other bloggers. me. Have an awesome week and thanks for writing my friend.

  5. Thanks so much for featuring my sewing box makeover, unfortunately I didn’t make it here last week, so I missed it. I’m joining you all again this week 🙂
