Forest Fairy Crown

DIY  Fairy Costume Crown for Little Girls Fairy fashion is feminine, romantic and natural; I define this design as whimsically bohemian. I took my youngest grand daughters wonderful impish personality and her love for forest faeries as my inspiration for  this DIY fairy crown. This costume was made special for her, and the final outcome is worth ever second it took to make it for her.  I hope you make one and love it as…

Mason Jar Centerpiece

Mason Jar Decor is Still Popular I am really glad that mason jars are still in style.  The mason jar continues to be used in a variety of ways in home decor.   They are practical, useful and sturdy.   The mason jar has an interesting history,  I wrote a post about the mason jar’s  history. We made a few of these to sell at local craft fairs in various colours.  This one is my…

Faerie Flower Tutu

Faerie Flower Tutu

Spring, green grass, playing outside, sitting in the sunshine.  Life is good, it only gets better when the girls are around me. I wanted this tutu to look like a princess flower faerie,  I made it with my eldest girlish, sweet and gentle grand daughter in mind.   This tutu uses an immense amount of tulle, but it suits our girl perfectly.    When I saw it on her, I knew I wouldn’t change a thing.  …

DIY Loaf Pan Boxes

I pick up odds and sods of baking items all the time.  I grab cupcake liners, cookie cutters, toothpicks, cute straws , paper doilies on a regular basis.   I have seen mini loaf pan liners but they were $6.00 for 4 pans, so I didn’t grab any.  Unfortunately, I haven’t seen them again, so I had to make some of my own.  These ones cost  $1.00 to make four, and took 30 minutes after I…

Your will need 1 large pansy, 4 rolled roses, and 12 small flowers.         crochet…

We have a very small urban yard. This year I had grand plans…

Girlish fairy crown

Imagine when Damien and Shannon had not one but TWO little girls. I simply cannot spend enough time with them.   Our two girls relish playing dress up.  I thought it would be fun to make them various faerie items, this crown is the first one I am…
